Summary
Performance of the modern dance work Orbweb (first performed in 1979) as part of a lecture-demonstration. Eleo Pomare's introduction is already in progress when the tape begins. He discusses his original concept for the work, based on the image of the mating of the black widow spider. He introduces audience member Donna Wood, a dancer with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, who appears briefly on camera. The performance itself begins at ca. 9 min. into the tape. Afterwards, dancers John Parks and Robin Becker answer questions from the audience.
