- Summary
- Footage of musical workshop rehearsals of Robert Wilson's production of Alice at the Thalia Theater. Edited and assembled from rehearsals held between February 11 and March 6, 1992. Tom Waits works with the Thalia Theater company workshopping the score, mostly without accompaniment. Waits talks at length about the book Alice in Wonderland, and his understanding of the story. Speaks about collaborating with the cast, and compares the production of Alice to the production The black rider.
