Summary

Two modern dance works choreographed by Nina Verchinina (1910 or 1912-1995), a Russian-born dancer who performed with the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo and the Original Ballet Russe before settling in Brazil in 1954. Drawing upon her dance background, which included studies with Rudolf Laban as well as ballet, she helped introduce modern dance to Brazil. She stopped choreographing in the 1960s in order to concentrate on teaching.
