Summary

Jerome Robbins, assisted by ballet master Bart Cook, directs rehearsals of Glass pieces and Gershwin concerto. The first rehearsal of Glass pieces (first movement) includes soloists only. The second rehearsal for Glass pieces includes a full run-through of the third movement. The rehearsal for Gershwin concerto includes a full run-through of the third movement. Robbins, assisted by ballet master Susan Hendl, directs a rehearsal of a trio (Polka de salon) and two solos (Le petit cavalier and La sorciere) from Piano pieces. The male soloist's role is rehearsed by three dancers. Robbins gives corrections, discusses and demonstrates choreography.
