- Good morning America's David Hartman interviews actor Meryl Streep for segments airing over two days of the program. Streep discusses her childhood; her attendance at Vassar College and performing in the play Miss Julie by August Strindberg; attending Yale Drama School (where she performed in over 40 productions of its repertory theater); how her views about the acting profession have evolved over time; joining the New York Shakespeare Festival and working with its director Joseph Papp and her experiences being part of the repertory company; achieving success as an actor; her feelings about acting for movies; her views about actor Dustin Hoffman and her experience co-starring with him in the motion picture Kramer vs. Kramer; her views on her own celebrity. Includes brief interviews with Papp, Henry Winkler and Robert Brustein, and film clips and photographs from Streep's life and career.
