- A study of the Lagosian Yoruba from Nigeria that came to Cuba in the 18th and 19th century either as slaves or manumitted workers and the later community of Yoruba who were repatriated back to Lagos and intermarried with another group of repatriated Yoruba from Brazil (Nagos). The focus is the ensuing Aguda community that actively nurtured its social "Yoruba-Cuban-Brazilian" Afrolatino heritage and other Afrolatino communities.
