Date of recording for Discs 3 and 4 are listed as 1989. However, based on the source recording's labels and the development of the production, these discs appear to date from the same time as the other recordings.
This is a recording of workshops, possibly Workshop A, from Doktor Faustus, an opera in three acts by Giacomo Manzoni based on the novella by Thomas Mann. Discs 1 and 2 appear to be compilations of Wilson working through choreography. Discs 3 and 4 depict Wilson directing workshop, as well as some models for the sets. Discs 5 and 6 contain a more continuous run-through of the opera, with piano accompaniment and no singing.
