Summary
An unedited compilation of film, music, theater and dance performance excerpts and behind-the-scenes footage from the Festival Latino in New York, summer 1986 season. Video includes, at 210 to 276 min., a performance of Bodas de sangra (Blood wedding) by Garcia Lorca, directed by Maria Alicia Madrano, with footage of Joseph Papp congratulating the cast after the performance. The work was performed by the Loboratoria de Teatro Campesino E Indigena and presented by Joseph Papp in conjunction with the State Government of Tabasco, Mexico and Sullivan County, Catskills, N.Y. The tape cuts abruptly between excerpts. Visual and sound quality are erratic.

Annual festivals featured a mix of theater, dance, music and film from Spain, Portugal and Latin America, performed in Spanish, English, Italian and Portuguese, or in combination.
