Summary
This disc contains unedited material for a recorded message by Merce Cunningham, made for a press conference announcing the Concours Chorégraphique International de Bagnolet, a dance competition in June 1990 for which Cunningham served on the jury and which commissioned his work Polarity, to be performed at the end of the competition. Cunningham speaks briefly about the upcoming event, and answers questions posed off-screen by David Vaughan, regarding the relationship between dance, world events and politics. The message and interview are recorded three times. The first 5 min. of the tape contain sound tests by the recording crew.
