- Disc 1 (ca. 45 min.). Jonathan Wolken discusses his family background; working with his father in a biophysics research laboratory; his first experiences with dance during childhood and in college; the social political climate of this period; the making of the piece Pilobolus with Moses Pendleton and Steve Johnson; evolution from the Vermont Natural Theater to the company Pilobolus [Dance Theatre]; early critical and financial support for the company including from Murray Louis; more on the early days of the company; the entry of Martha Clarke and Alison Chase into the company; the departure of Lee Harris and the addition of Michael Tracy.
