- Summary
- Merce Cunningham accepts the second annual Wexner Prize in a lunchtime ceremony. The event includes speeches by Ohio State University president Gordon Gee and Wexner Center founder Leslie Wexner, and audio excerpts from Elliot Caplan's feature documentary Cage/Cunningham. After the presentation of the award, Cunningham delivers a speech in which he discusses his collaboration with John Cage; dancing with Carolyn Brown; touring in the early days of the Cunningham company; his interest in movement; and the creation of Roaratorio.
