Summary
This disc contains material relating to the Merce Cunningham Dance Company's appearance at the Wachauer Theater Festival. The first segment includes three German-language promotional spots for the festival; each spot includes footage of performances and rehearsals at the festival and brief reports on groups appearing there, including a circus troupe from Budapest; the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, presenting a series of performances titled Movement in time and space; and the Russian group Ragtime for Clowns. The second segment on the disc is an English-language interview with Cunningham, in which he discusses his views on dance and movement, the site-specific component of his company's Events, and his future plans. The last segment on the disc is an Event performed by the Merce Cunningham Dance Company, including an extended solo by Cunningham.
