- Summary
- These discs contain unedited excerpts from the program The future, the sixth part of the series Six Saturdays: explorations in six archetypal themes. Disc 1 begins with footage of the offices, grounds and theater at Yellow Springs, and a discussion between John Clauser, John Immerwahr, Arthur Sabatini and Gerald Walker about the presentation of avant-garde music programs. Excerpts from a lecture by Arthur Sabatini appear on disc 1 and disc 3; Sabatini speaks about the meaning of the archetypes explored in the Six Saturdays series, and about the concept of utopia. Disc 2 contains John Clauser's introduction to the program The future, with discussion of this archetype. Excerpts from a lecture by Saul Medlovitz appear on the remainder of disc 2 and on disc 3; Mendlovitz speaks about the "politics of decency" and efforts to create a just world. Disc 3 contains excerpts from two pieces performed by Tanzprojekt Munchen.
