This conversation, moderated by John Clauser, was filmed during a residency at Yellow Spring Institute by the duo Man Act (Simon Thorne and Phillip Mackenzie) and Richard Schechner, who collaborated with them in Man act 2 + 1 (Blind date). Schechner, Thorne and Mackenzie discuss their works; ideas about the nature of theater; interaction with audiences; intercultural exchange; experimental theater vs. popular entertainment; and the significance of humor in theater.
