- Description
- 3 videodiscs (NTSC) (187 min.) : sd., col.; 4 3/4 in.
- Summary
- Two works in progress and a lecture are presented in this program, titled Production: technology, politics and the imagination, which was part of the Performances and propositions series. Assisted memories is a sound and video work; creator Leif Brush presents the work (reproduction of the video is poor); this presentation is followed by footage of the set-up by which sounds were recorded. Mystery history bouffe goof, described in program notes as a "circus-opera," is performed partly indoors and partly outdoors; the recording of the performance is very dark at the end. Krzysztof Wodiczko shows slides of his public art works and discusses the ideology of architectural monuments.
