Summary
This recording was projected during the presentation portion of the program 1 reconstructing 2 Einstein on the beach, given by Robert Wilson Audio/Visual Collection's project coordinator, Sarah Ziebell Mann. The presentation on the Theatre on Film and Tape Archive's reconstructed version of the 1976 film recording of Einstein on the beach from Théâtre royal de la monnaie was followed by a screening of the reconstruction. The recording is a compilation of still and moving images from the Robert Wilson Audio/Visual Collection pertaining to the reconstruction. Included from the collection are excerpts from the Théâtre royal de la monnaie reconstruction (see NCOV 3127), comparisons of the Théâtre royal de la monnaie footage to similar footage recorded at a Teatro La Fenice performance of Einstein on the beach (NCOV 3069), and an interview with Robert Wilson and Philip Glass shot during the Théâtre royal de la monnaie run of Einstein on the beach (NCOW 305). Recording also includes title screens.
