- Summary
- Disc 1 (ca. 27 min.). Introduction by Randy Boursheidt describing the occasion for the meeting as a means to mark the completion of the Dance archive on the website [http://www.artistswithaids.org/artforms/dance/index.html] for the Estate Project for Artists with AIDS, as well as the publication of David Gere's book, How to make dances in an epidemic: tracking choreography in the age of AIDS (2004); Brad Walters gives an introduction to the Estate Project website; Gere speaks about the projects, including his feelings regarding the need to add an emotional dimension to the public record in the form of zlovey letters to individuals lost to AIDS. Attendees at the gathering read such letters as a first step in submitting them for publication on the website. The following participants read letters dedicated as indicated: David Gere to Bill [William] Huck; John Rockwell to Dale Harris.
