The history of the José Limón Dance Company and the life of founding director, José Limón. Includes a reunion of various generations of dancers from productions of There is a time; a company rehearsal of Invention with former company dancer, Betty Jones; a company rehearsal of Cross Roads with choreographer, Donald McKayle; and a company rehearsal of If Winter with choreographer, Billy Siegenfeld. Also includes excerpts from performances of There is a time, Cross Roads, and If Winter at the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. Current and former company dancers, Roxane d'Orléans Juste, Nina Watt, Laura Glenn, Michael Hollander, Jennifer Scanlon, Gary Masters, Raphaël Boumaïla, Lucy Venable, Daniel Lewis, Risa Steinberg, Betty Jones, Francisco Ruvalcaba, Jonathan Riedel, Robert Regala, Dante Puleio and Adam Hougland, as well as artistic director, Carla Maxwell and choreographer, Donald McKayle, talk about José Limón and the Company.
