  • Sonata first performed in Dijon, France on Nov. 25, 1980. Music for Sonata is Johann Sebastian Bach's Sonata in E major transcribed for viola, in C Major by Louise Schulman.
  • The Emperor Jones based on the play by Eugene O'Neil. It was first performed in July 1956 at the Empire State Festival, Ellensville, New York.
