- Summary
- Excerpts from the opera The midnight angel are interspersed with commentary from the composer, librettist, director, and performer of the lead role. Peter Beagle speaks about his short story Come, Lady death, on which the opera was based. David Carlson speaks about the commission for the work, and Linda Brovsky speaks about her participation in creating and staging the opera. In addition to live performances of excerpts, the program includes a recording of James Maddalena singing an aria from The midnight angel, and opens with a symphonic work by Carlson titled Twilight night.
