- Summary
- Tape contains various song tracks written by Jim Steinman for the New York Shakespeare Festival musical production [of More than you deserve]. Some of the selections did not make the final version of the show. "Song of the gods" (4th work) was cut and put in the 1975 Steinman musical "Neverland". "Water seller's song", "Smoke song"and "Souvenirs" (1st-2nd, 6th works) were also cut from the final version of production. Steinman and Meatloaf met during the production. Meatloaf is featured on "The spooky song (The simple life)". The title song (5th work) was later recorded by Meatloaf on the 1981 album "Dead ringer."
