Summary
Cassettes contain worktape of Acts 1-2 of the opera Hamlet, commissioned by Joseph Papp and the New York Shakespeare Festival but not produced. All vocal and spoken parts and instrumentals were played and recorded by the composer. The "Helsingor" overture is not included in recordings. The latter recording (Cassette 2, 5/9/89) is a tighter version than was recorded on Cassette 1.
