- Summary
- The first segment of this program is a report on the Round House, an alternative theater performance space in London; the report examines the history of the space with comments from its directors, including Arnold Wesker, and audience members. The second report is on Merce Cunningham's use of Life Forms computer software. Cunningham and the software creator Thecla Schiphorst speak about the program and its advantages for creating choreography; dancers Emma Diamond and Alan Good comment on their experience learning choreography created on the computer, and dance critic Joan Acocella speaks about the influence of Life Forms on Cunningham's choreography. The program also includes five one-minute films and a performance of a song by the rock group XTC.
