Summary
Interview with choreographer/performer Cathy Weis, interspersed with four dance excerpts from her work, Electric haiku: Calm as custard. Weis discusses her childhood; introduction to ballet; dancing with the Louisville Ballet; attending Bennington College; moving to New York in 1983 to video document other dances; discovering she had muscular dystrophy and how it affected her life; creating her first choreographic work in 1994; and her choreographic process of incorporating electronic imagery with the body by working individually with the performers.
