Discussion includes Brooks' childhood in Cheswick, London, his studies at Oxford, his 1962 production of Shakespeare's Love's labour's lost for the newly established Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC) at Stratford-upon-Avon, his 1967 production of Marat/Sade, and his formation of The International Centre for Theatre Research in Paris in 1970.
