J.; later produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater at the Susan Stein Shiva Theater in 1986, Joseph Papp, producer. The play was also presented at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles, Calif. in 1988, and in 1994 at the Trueblood Theatre at the University of Michigan. A television adaptation was presented on PBS in 1991.
