Summary
Portraits and views of jazz saxophonist Sonny Rollins. Collection consists of quarter-length studio portraits of Rollins used for publicity purposes (ca. 1970s); a three-quarter length candid portrait of Rollins during a recording session (ca. 1960s); a view of Rollins's trio and saxophonist Coleman Hawkins performing at the Newport Jazz Festival (1963); and a group portrait showing Rollins, seated with musician Doc Severinsen, performer Charo and comedian Skip Stephenson, during an appearance on the television program "The Tonight Show" (1979).
