- Summary
- Singer, actress, and arts advocate, Kitty Carlisle discusses her life and career with interviewer Michall Jeffers. Carlisle speaks of her late husband playwright and director Moss Hart, including their first meeting on the set of the motion picture A night at the opera, their courtship, and aspects of Hart's character and personal life. She also discusses her relationship with her mother and their trip to Europe, her studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London where she decided to become a performer, her offers of marriage from George Gershwin and Sinclair Lewis, her long-held role on the panel television show To tell the truth, and her activities as chairman of the New York State Council on the Arts.
