- Summary
- The life, career and legacy of lyricist E. Y. "Yip" Harburg (1898-1981) is explored through interviews, performances and archival film clips. Yip's son Ernest Harburg discusses his father with co-hosts Susan Haskins and Michael Riedel, and this material is intercut with archival footage of Yip talking about his career in various settings. Tommy Hollis sings "Brother, can you spare a dime?," the 1931 song for which E. Y. Harburg wrote the lyrics.
