- "Designed and produced under the direction of Andrew Hoyem at Arion Press, San Francisco, with the assistance of Gerald Reddan, Eric Holub, Stephanie Dal Porto, Peggy Gotthold, and Leif Erlandsson. The types are Times New Roman. The intaglio printing was done by R.E. Townsend Studio, Georgetown, Massachusetts, by Robert Townsend and Katherine Hanlon, from plates made by Jenö Gindl, Berlin, and proofed by William Hall at Pace Editions, New York City. The paper is Hahnemühle Copperplate"--Colophon.
- Printed on one side of a double strip formed from two series of sheets folded accordion-style to form 20 double leaves, attached at each end to the boards. "This album of 18 photogravures can be regarded as a single work of art, a series of photographic prints to be seen in pairs as pages opened in a book or as a continuum, when the accordion-fold is stood up, a structure self-supported by its hinged panels on a table, or when mounted flat on a wall"--Prospectus.

This book contains one of the photogravures by Dine from the Ape & Cat series ... The type, Times New Roman, was composed and cast in Monotype at Mackenzie & Harris by Peter Stoelzl and Lewis Mitchell. The paper is Biblio, a German handmade sheet.
