- Summary
- Portraits of Charles Herndon, editor of the New York Amsterdam News during the 1950s. Collection consists of group portraits showing Herndon receiving a journalism award from Long Island University President Admiral Richard L. Conolly; and from T. E. Kruglak, Chairman of the Journalism Department, Long Island University, and William Polk. Also included is a candid photo of Herndon, as a child, with other children in an office.
