Summary
This program contains the prologue, or first knee play, and second act from Robert Wilson's theater piece Prometheus. During a panel discussion between the two performance segments, Wilson and di Niscemi discuss Prometheus' place in Greek mythology, their work adapting the piece from Aeschylus' Prometheus Bound and Aristophanes' The Birds, and Iannis Xenakis' music. Wilson also explains the origin of the term "knee play," which refers to the short connecting scenes between acts in his work.
