Summary
This program includes a panel discussion about connections between acting and dancing, interspersed with performances of excerpts from Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet and related excerpts from MacMillan's ballet of the same title. The conversation focuses on the performer's process, as panelists from the Juilliard School and American Ballet Theatre discuss the role of movement in acting and of characterization in dance, and the respective expressive virtues of the voice and the body.
