Summary
The history detectives investigate the remant of a sculpture that once adorned Steeplechase Park in Coney Island; a doll that may have been passed down from the family of Robert E. Lee to their servants; a shoemaker named Michael Savino who, according to family legend, was a mentor to Salvatore Capezio and designed ballet shoes for Ziegfeld Follies star Marilyn Miller. In this program the history detectives are assisted by young "junior detectives." Brief segments exploring the research collections of the New York Public Library, the post-Civil War life of Robert E. Lee, and the influence of the Ziegfeld Follies appear after the main segments.
