- Summary
- This program features a panel discussion of playwrights and works presented by New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW), interspersed with readings from the plays of Caryl Churchill, Tony Kushner, and Charles L. Mee. The panelists, including NYTW artistic director Nicola as well as Kushner and Mee, discuss the history of the company and its mission of presenting plays that are experimental in form and that synthesize the personal, psychological, historical, and political. The playwrights talk about their experiences working with the company, and describe the genesis of the plays being excerpted.
