- Summary
- This program includes performances of four musical works by Bernard Rands, interspersed with a conversation with the composer. Rands discusses his musical background and influences, his compositional process, and his experiences as composer-in-residence at the Philadelphia Orchestra and as professor of music at Harvard University. He also talks about Belladonna, a new chamber opera for the Aspen Festival, and offers his perspective on the future of contemporary classical music.
