- This program includes the American premiere performance of Kafka fragments, György Kurtág's piece for soprano and violin, set to passages from Kafka's letters and diaries. Preceding the performance, the panelists discuss the Hungarian composer's influences, including Bartok, Beethoven, and Werben, his multilingual fluency, the individuality of his music, and its difficulty for performers.
