Summary
Trevor Carlson introduces the program, which included a screening of excerpts from a film of Ocean, performed at Lincoln Center in July, 2005. (The film is not included on this disc.) Following the screening, Cunningham discusses the origins and making of Ocean. Company dancers Steele and Swinston discuss performing Ocean and other Cunningham works. Swinston speaks about Cunningham's choreographic notes and the labor involved in remounting works. The program ends with a Q&A segment; an audience member comments on Cunningham's use of space in his choreography.
