• One of three trios originally composed for either transverse flutes or csakans (recorders). From the manuscript, which was transcribed a whole tone downwards from the version for transverse flutes which was published in 1811 by the publishing house Bureau d'arts et d'industrie (plate number 3). For this version, to reflect the fingering of the csakan, the music has been transposed from F major to B♭ major, following current practice for alto recorders,--Cf. pref.
