Summary
Documents the process and performance of restaging Molissa Fenley's solo entitled State of darkness, performed to Stravinsky's 'Rite of spring' (Le sacre du printemps) by Peter Boal. In interviews, Fenley and Boal discuss the creation and original performance of the work by Fenley and the consequences of re-staging it with a male classically trained dancer. Includes footage of rehearsals and excerpts from performances of the piece by Boal and Fenley.
