Summary
This theater piece draws on poetry, Kabbalah, traditional Jewish music, dance and chanting. An encounter between a wandering Jewish hobo and a 13th century Sephardic mystic explores themes of exile, memory and the feminine aspect of God (Shechina). At the end of the performance there is a brief introduction by Naomi Newman, discussing the historical background of the work.
