- Summary
- Recording of a presentation by Seth B. Winner, sound engineer, including audio excerpts from the contents of the Arturo Toscanini Legacy Collection, housed at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Rodgers and Hammerstein Archives of Recorded Sound. This program focuses on Toscanini's last concert (April 4, 1954) as well as the memorial broadcast presented the day after his death. Includes excerpts of rehearsals as well as both broadcast and un-broadcast concerts. Comments on the works and broadcasts played are given by Winner, Walfredo Toscanini, David Sarser, and Arthur M. Fierro. There is a 10 minute question and answer period following the presentation.
