Summary
Documentary on the career of clown, actor, playwright and director Bill Irwin. Features excerpts from his work, including stage pieces Largely New York, The regard of flight, Fool moon, The Harlequin studies, and Mr. Fox: a rumination. The clown tradition is examined, along with the influence of silent comedy on Irwin's work. Also includes interviews with Irwin himself as well as friends, colleagues and observers.
