Wilson expounds on creating such plays such as Burn this, Balm in Gilead and The book of days, a production of which is currently being staged by the Signature Theatre Company. The play concerns twelve inhabitants of a small town involved in a community theatre production of Saint Joan. Wilson addresses the current resurgence of productions of his plays; how he constructs a play with a large cast; and his focus on characters who "want to do something really well." He speaks also about his association with various theatres since the closure of the Circle Repertory Company, which he help found.
