Summary
Broadway columnist for Newsday, Joe Koennen, shares his predictions for the 47th Annual Tony Awards with co-hosts Susan Haskins and Michael Riedel. They explore the relative merits of the productions up for awards in 1993, including Kiss of the spider woman, The Who's Tommy, Angels in America: Millennium approaches, Blood brothers, The goodbye girl, and The song of Jacob Zulu, and their performers and personnel. They speculate also on the television viewership for the upcoming ceremony, and the attraction of current Broadway offerings to theatergoers from out of town.
