Summary
This documentary provides an intimate look at two practitioners of wheelchair dancing, Sammy Dahan and Omer Yavetz, who perform with the dance troupe Hora on Wheels, a company of disabled Israeli army veterans founded at Beit Halochem in Tel Aviv. Through interviews with the men and their wives, families and non-paraplegic women partners, and through footage of their daily routines, rehearsals, performances and competitions, the film explores the subjects' feelings about their injuries, being handicapped, and their interest in dancing. The film includes footage of Sammy Dahan competing in the Ballroom and Latin Wheelchair Dance Championships in Amsterdam, Holland, and Hora on Wheels performing folk dances at the Karmiel Dance Festival.
