- Summary
- Susan Loesser, author of a recently published book about her father Frank Loesser, composer of Broadway hits such as Guys and dolls and The most happy fella, speaks with co-hosts Susan Haskins and Michael Riedel. She elaborates on her upbringing and her relationship with her mother Lynn Loesser; her parents' divorce and her father's remarriage to leading lady Jo Sullivan; his enjoyment of the business end of theater; his struggle for approval from his culturally snobbish family; his bad temper and its impact; and his authorship of many well-known songs such as Praise the lord and pass the ammunition, Heart and soul, On a slow boat to China, and Spring will be a little late this year.
