Summary
This recording comprises a 57-minute rehearsal of Eh, qu'est-ce que ça me fait à moi? (Hey, what's all this to me?) in French and a 13-minute interview segment with Maguy Marin in English. During the rehearsal, Marin and collaborator Denis Mariotte direct from the back of the theatre, join the performance on stage, and paint a backdrop. During the interview, Marin discusses the genesis of the piece, which was commissioned as part of the cultural festivities for the Bicentennial of the French Revolution, and describes the segments that are excerpted during the Guggenheim program.
