- Note
- Recording (incomplete) of lecture-demonstrations given by Stuart Hodes, Sally Bowden, and Deborah Jowitt at The New School for Social Research in New York City on Nov. 2, 1974. This group of lecture-demonstrations is the fourth of four that were held between Oct. 12 and Nov. 2, 1974, part of the ChoreoConcerts and critiques series of lecture-demonstrations performed at The New School and sponsored by the Choreographers Theatre. Hodes and Bowden read prepared remarks; Jowitt speaks about her new dance performed earlier, including movement demonstrations. These presentations are followed by a question and answer period with the audience moderated by Richard Bull who speaks, in response to questions, about his new work, Small step giant leap. Susannah Payton and Cynthia Novack also speak about dancing in this work in this part of the recording.
- The sound quality of the speaker overall is good, but the recording is marred by extraneous noise. The sound quality of the questions from the audience is poor.
- Side B is blank.
