Summary
Risa Jaroslow has integrated community members with professional dancers in a number of her works. Resist/Surrender...explores maleness and masculinity. The work is based on the experiences of a diverse group of community members, including firefighters, lawyers, gay teens, senior adults, and men recently out of prison, and features a chorus of men, including a math teacher, a sociologist, and a waiter.
